A video showing a truck driver braving the flood to reach his destination is racking up thousands of views on social media.
The incident happened after heavy rains hit the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee (USA), last week. According to the Weather Channel, the flood caused four deaths and left people trapped in their cars and homes.
Still, a truck driver on Interstate 24 was undeterred and continued his route, slowly crossing the flood while cars floated around him.
The video has already garnered more than 1 million views and many comments from internet users who were impressed by the scene. “He said: ‘I get paid by the load, not by the hour!'”, joked a TikTok user.
“The guy doesn’t care about anything other than unloading on time,” added another. “I mean, diesel engines don’t have spark plugs, so he can go into the water,” pointed out a third user.
